We look forward to creating a special space where PMC congregants, residents & staff of Fairview, and community members can share a space in nature together! Learn more.

The design shows the vision for the Healing Garden.

The garden will include accessible seating and pathways, year-round outdoor furniture, and a variety of plants and trees. This project includes a budget of $150,000-$200,000, in which Fairview will pay 75% and PMC will commit to 25% of the final budget costs. If you wish to contribute to this project, we encourage you to donate online, or view more giving options here.

In November 2024, the clouds broke and the sun came out to shine over the Land Blessing Ceremony for the Healing Garden.

John Somosi sang a song to connect us to our Creator, and Terre Chartrand shared and led the practice of smudging. We were honoured to have them teach us and bless this land as a space for healing and hope. We heard from leaders from Preston & Fairview who shared about the steps to get to this day, and the hopes of how this garden will be cherished in days to come.

Instead of “breaking ground” Terre, Muriel (Preston), and Elaine (Fairview) offered cedar tea to the land.
